Saw that the Scorpion K Tier 8 TD is now for sale in the Blitz store nether Offers for 17,500 gilt. They are simply offering it with the fully loaded package with 9 equipment slots, special camo and avatar, and a garage slot. No base model is currently for sale.

I wasn't familiar with this tank so I watched a few YouTube videos by Bushka, Meady, and a few others and the consensus is that they all loved the tank, but warned that information technology's definitely not for beginners and must exist played very strategically and advisedly, as it's armor is HE pennable past every tier seven-9 tank, pretty much everywhere on the tank.

I ran a comparison on Blitz Star Tank Compare against all other tier 8 TD's and here's what I institute:

(NOTE: These stats are without any equipment or provisions)

Strengths

  • Gun treatment:
    • dispersion 0.307 (tied #2 of 17 tier eight TD's)
    • aim fourth dimension 1.82 (tied #two of 17)
    • reload speed: 11 seconds
    • AP penetration: 246 (non the best of tier 8 TD's, but effectually the top 3rd)
    • blastoff: 460 (tied #three of 17)
    • shell velocity: 920
  • Mobility:
    • top speed 55 (#1 of 17)
    • rear speed twenty
    • average speed 30 (one of the all-time tier eight TD's)
    • ability/weight ratio 15.24
    • fully traversable turret
  • Credit Coefficient: 170%

Weaknesses

  • Armor:
    • paper thin; worst of whatever tier 8 TD other than the Rhm. Borsig. which has about the same armor
    • 15mm on all sides of turret
    • 16mm to 30mm hull armor
  • AP DPM: two,509 (#ten of 17 tier viii TD'southward)
  • Cost:
    • 17,500 gold, which costs $49.99
    • For comparing the Steel KpfPz lxx, a tier ix heavy, is currently for sale for 12,500 gilt, too with 9 equipment slots, camo, avatar, and a garage slot

Then it's definitely got some things going for it, at least on newspaper. The cost is definitely outrageous, but I'g a tank collector addict, then I'll probably purchase it unless I hear a lot of negative feedback on it. I'm not an adept tanker, and then I'm sure I'll die a lot in it, but hopefully I'll learn how to survive in it.

1 spec listed on Blitz Stars and Blitz Hanger that is very different from what'south shown in the Blitz app, is the Scorpion's aim time. Both Stars and Hanger have the Scorpion'south aim time listed every bit 1.82 seconds, only in the Rush app the aim time is listed as 3.8. That's a huge difference. Since I haven't purchased the tank, the specs listed in the app are base specs with an untrained crew, no equipment, and no provisions and I believe that Blitz Stars and Hanger both list specs with a 100% trained crew, merely I didn't add whatsoever equipment or provisions in Blitz Stars or Rush Hanger when viewing the Scorpions specs.

So what gives? Does 100% trained coiffure improve the aim time that significantly from 3.eight to i.82 seconds or has the Scorpion Thousand's aim time been secretly nerfed and Blitz Stars and Blitz Hanger notwithstanding have it'southward quondam pre-nerf aim fourth dimension?

For those who own this tank, what'southward its actual aim fourth dimension in-game with 100% trained crew, just without equipment or provisions?

For those who have experience playing the Scorpion, what are your overall thoughts on it? Whatever pros and cons in add-on to what I mentioned? Is it a buy or laissez passer?

This question is one that simply you can answer.

Nosotros all have our own opinion on how much 17500 gold "costs".   Some of us are old with really good jobs, and fifty-75 bucks for some digital entertainment is no large deal.  Other players are still in grade school, and dropping any coin on a game is unlikely.

So you demand to decide - do you want to spend 17500 gold or not.   Nobody else tin can actually answer that question for you.

Personally - prior to 3.8, I would have purchased this tank - merely e'er since that release, my wallet has been closed.

Peace-

Boris

I've noticed a strong lack of Spare Parts. Is that intended?

No, it is not. This trouble will solve itself with fourth dimension. Many players accept several dozens of vehicles in their Garages, so they don't have plenty Spare Parts for the unabridged vehicle fleet. But you will gradually collect enough Spare Parts to unlock new slots for purchased tanks in time.

I didn't buy in the crate drop effect, don't like those. I accept a zillion games in my Waffle, know how to fight a glass cannon TD, and was intrigued when I fought them. And I had a good fleck of cheap gold still from the Christmas event, so it was an like shooting fish in a barrel determination for me, and I'm liking it quite well. And the affair seems to mint credits.

The pros of it is obvious so I'll tell you the cons of it instead:

-You will get HE spam by tanks particularily on the turret, including sides and rear hull; T49, ISU, Rhm Borsig, Obj 704 can smack this tank easily if yous're non careful

-Faster tanks like Leo pta for will decimate this tanks hp by ramming

-Bad camo rating. Y'all'll have to master hidden in game mechanic to avert getting spotted easily: Bushes

-Bad gun depression. You'll accept quite a difficult time looking to put your gun down in certain places of the map

-Despite having a turret and resemblance to non TD tanks, its view range is poor, so it it wisely NOT to spot for your team. And if your idi ot team mate(s) tell you to spot in Scorpion G, tell them they are wrong or clueless monkey eating a banana while scratching their foreheads.

I am gonna advise you to stay abroad from anything that is above tier VI even more far abroad from this tank....this tank is good if it is in experienced easily.....otherwize it is a dmg farm for reds and a detriment to the team for greens....

For 17,500 is not worth it for me. But as many have said, it depends on how valuable the tank seems to you. It looks like a great tank but one that requires a lot of skill. If it goes lower I might buy it, even though I suck at playing TDs and sneaky in general.

Spend your coin how you want, just right now you could purchase a Lowe for close to 6k gold.It might be less frustrating and then the Skorpian.

Eric, honestly I looked at your stats in blitzstars and I really think you are going to struggle in this tank.  When Bushka, Md or Meadsy say this is not a tank for beginners, they are right.

To expand, you really need to know all the ins and outs of maps.  You lot need to be able to instinctually know all the stats on the tanks.  You demand to be able to read tank layouts at the showtime of the game to become an idea where to gear up upwardly.  T49s will love hunting you down so you demand to know where they will like to go.  Y'all need to know the reload times of the tanks you are facing - an is# just missed, yous will likely exist able to go another shot in, but will have possibly a sec or two to detect encompass so do yous take that second shot or find embrace?  If information technology's one 5 1 versus an is#, and they load HE what'southward the max roll they tin do, do you have the HP to duke information technology out? Y'all demand to be able to await at a Conway or a t49 or a tankenstein and know whether they have the derp gun loaded.  Yous need to be able to scan where the spotted tanks are, do yous know where that su152 or Smasher is on the map?  If and so, practise you lot know whether they tin striking from your current location or your next probable location?

It's a good sniper just as well skilful peek a nail tank.  Y'all demand to not only be skilful at peek a booming with cover using hills, rocks and buildings, but also using other tanks as cover.  If you roll with meds, which you can do, but know you will be targeted.  So you need to play 50 meters behind or brand use of cover.

If money is no object for yous I'd say buy it.  Otherwise wait for a year and permit the toll come up down some more than and in a year you lot probably be ready to play it.  If you just camp this matter in the back, y'all volition non be successful.

thanks
